Rivers Govt. announces 10 strategic projects ready for inauguration

The Rivers State Government has announced that 10 strategic projects completed under the Siminalayi Fubara-led administration are ready for inauguration.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Benibo Anabraba, made this disclosure during a news briefing in Port Harcourt on Monday.
He said the projects, spread across several local government areas, are aimed at improving the quality of life for residents.
Dr. Anabraba listed the projects to include:
Extension of the dualisation of Ahoada-Omoku Road
Egbeda-Omerelu link road
Ikwerre Road-Igwuruta-Airport Road
Obodhi-Ozochi Road and bridge
Ogbakiri Junction-Ogbakiri Waterfront Road
Ahoada Zonal Hospital
Permanent Secretaries’ Quarters
Federal High Court Complex
He added that the inauguration of these projects is scheduled to take place from Dec. 10 to Dec. 23, 2025, and noted that the Ipo Town-Airport Road Bypass would also be commissioned for rehabilitation during the period.
According to Dr. Anabraba, these projects reflect Governor Fubara’s commitment to delivering the democratic dividend to the people of Rivers State.
He also emphasised the administration’s dedication to maintaining peace, promoting socio-economic growth, and prioritising the security of lives and property of residents.
The SSG called on citizens to continue following the path of peace to ensure the sustained progress of the state.
