Davido denies paternity claims after teen requests DNA test

Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has dismissed renewed paternity claims circulating online, stating that multiple DNA tests have already confirmed he is not the father of the teenager in question.

The controversy resurfaced after Anuoluwapo Michelle Adeleke, daughter of Grace Ayotomide, posted an emotional message on Instagram requesting

a DNA test to establish her identity. In the post, she detailed her upbringing, school struggles, and experiences of bullying over claiming Davido as her father.

She wrote, “As I grow older I want to establish my identity. I was bullied in school since I was 6 years old… Other students laughed at me when I told them my father was Mr David Adeleke.”

She added that the ordeal affected her mental health and prompted visits to a medical professional.

Davido responded strongly on X, emphasising that five separate DNA tests had already been conducted, all confirming he is not the father.

He wrote, “After 5 DNA test … she Dey crase.. her and her mom better leave me the f**k alone and go find her papa…”

He further explained that he had agreed to test at three hospitals, while the other two were chosen by the teen’s family, and all results came back negative.

Davido stressed that this would be the last time he addresses the matter, highlighting his family’s strict stance on lineage: “Adeleke’s we don’t play about Blood on this side!”

The episode has reignited discussions on the pressures public figures face when private disputes unfold online, with social media reactions largely supporting Davido’s position.
