NSCDC parades suspect for pipeline vandalism in Delta

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in Delta, has arrested and paraded one suspected pipeline vandal.

‎Mr. Chinedu Igbo, the NSCDC Commandant disclosed this a statement through the corps Public Relations Officer, Mr. Anthony Uchenna on Friday in Asaba.

Mr. Igbo said the suspect was arrested on the Jan. 5, by the Delta NSCDC pipeline monitoring team in Kwale.

He also said that, the suspect was caught vandalising two well heads belonging to OANDO Energy Resources Nig. Ltd.

He further said the suspect was arrested with exhibits such as Acetylene Cylinder, Hydrogen Cylinder and adjustable spanner.

He noted that upon completion of the ongoing investigation, the suspect would be charged to a competent court that has jurisdiction to entertain the matter for possible prosecution.

The commandant, who is unrelenting in the fight against vandalism and other criminal activities, warned that unrepentant vandals should find legal means of livelihood or they would be made to face the full wrath of the law if apprehended.
