Delta development drives Ibegbulem support for Oborevwori

The transformative projects and policy initiatives of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori have earned him a strong endorsement from Dr. Hilary Obi Ibegbulem, Principal Secretary to Delta State’s immediate past governor, who has pledged to actively support the governor’s 2027 re-election bid.

Ibegbulem made the announcement at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Uromi Junction Flyover in Agbor, a critical infrastructure project aimed at reducing traffic bottlenecks and improving road safety in one of the state’s busiest areas.

He noted that Governor Oborevwori, despite early skepticism following his 2023 election, has demonstrated consistent and results-oriented leadership through the MORE Agenda, which has accelerated human capital development, expanded infrastructure, and enhanced economic opportunities across Delta State.

“Every sector in the state has seen visible transformation. Roads, schools, and health facilities are being developed at a pace that many thought impossible.

“The governor’s policies have positively impacted the lives of ordinary Deltans, which makes the case for his re-election not just political, but practical, ” he said.

Highlighting the Uromi Junction Flyover project, being executed by Julius Berger Nigeria Limited, he explained that the development would permanently solve long-standing congestion problems and reduce accidents at the busy junction.

The project also promises to strengthen connectivity between Agbor and other key parts of the state and country.

Ibegbulem also commended the collaboration between the Delta State Government and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to rehabilitate the Agbor–Abavo–Obiaruku–Eku Expressway.

According to him, the move would stimulate commerce, revive economic activity along the corridor, and accelerate growth in Ika land.

He further urged residents to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) at both state and federal levels, emphasising that a stable political environment would ensure the continuity of transformative policies and sustainable development in Delta State.

“Delta is changing, and these projects are proof that progress is possible when leadership is focused and deliberate,” Ibegbulem said, framing his support for Governor Oborevwori not just as political loyalty, but as a commitment to the state’s growth trajectory.
