Emir Sanusi returns to classroom as law student

The 16th Emir of Kano, His Eminence Muhammadu Sanusi II, has resumed his undergraduate law studies at North-West University, Kano, demonstrating that age is no barrier to education.

The Emir was seen attending lectures alongside his 200-level classmates, an inspiring development that has drawn nationwide attention and admiration.

Speaking on his decision, Sanusi emphasised that “learning is a lifelong process” and urged Nigerians to invest heavily in education at all levels, describing it as a crucial tool for societal growth and effective governance.

The monarch’s return to the classroom reinforces his long-standing advocacy for knowledge and civic responsibility.

Observers noted that the Emir’s enrollment sent a strong message about the value of continuous learning, even for leaders who already hold prominent positions in society.

Sanusi’s decision to pursue law also highlights his personal commitment to understanding governance, justice, and the legal frameworks that shape Nigeria’s institutions.

His presence in the lecture halls has been described by students as both motivational and humbling.

This development continued a trend of public figures demonstrating that education and leadership are complementary pursuits, underlining the idea that intellectual growth should never be limited by age or status.
