Cubana millennium city signals Delta’s investor appeal, says commissioner

The Delta Government has said the ongoing Cubana Millennium City project in Asaba is an evidence of the investor-friendly environment created under Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration.

The State Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu, said this on Sunday during an inspection of the access road leading to the project site.

Aniagwu said the scale of private investment being committed to the development reflected growing confidence in the state’s governance and economic direction.

He noted that investors were responding positively to policies anchored on people-focused leadership, peace, security and sustained infrastructure development.

According to him, the Oborevwori administration has deliberately positioned government as a catalyst for growth by opening up communities through road construction and ensuring a stable policy environment.

Aniagwu described the Cubana Millennium City project as a clear indication that Delta remained attractive for business.

The commissioner stressed that consistency in governance and prioritisation of infrastructure were key factors influencing investor decisions.

He explained that the ongoing access road would improve connectivity to the area, stimulate development along the corridor, increase property values and support the expansion of Asaba as a fast-growing state capital.

Aniagwu while reaffirming the administration’s commitment to infrastructure delivery, said both rural and urban roads remain central to the governor’s ‘MORE Agenda’.

He also assured residents and investors of continued collaboration with the private sector to drive economic growth, job creation and sustainable development.

Aniagwu added that with ongoing infrastructure investment and a stable business climate, Delta was well positioned to attract more credible investors and strengthen its reputation as one of Nigeria’s most economically viable states.
