Delta HOS felicitates retiring Perm Sec

The Delta State Head of Service, Dr. Mininim Oseji, has congratulated Dr Philomena Okeowo on her retirement after 33 years in the civil service.
Dr. Oseji commended Okeowo’s dedication and contributions to the state’s health sector.
She encouraged the retiring Permanent Secretary to trust God for direction in her future pursuits.
Oseji advised her to explore fresh opportunities in teaching hospitals, universities, or non-governmental organisations.
Dr Okeowo served as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health until her retirement.
She joined the Delta State civil service in 1992.
Over the years, she rose through the ranks to become Medical Director of Public Health.
In 2022, she was appointed Permanent Secretary, a position she held until her exit.
In her remarks, Dr Okeowo expressed appreciation to Gôvernor Sheriff Oborevwori for the opportunity to serve the state.
She also thanked the Head of Service for her support and leadership.
Okeowo described her career as fulfilling and expressed gratitude for the experiences gained.
The retirement ceremony was attended by Permanent Secretaries and Directors across ministries.
