Nestlé Nigeria posts N105bn profit after turnaround in 2025

Nestlé Nigeria Plc has announced a remarkable financial turnaround for 2025, reporting a net profit of N105 billion and a 26 per cent increase in revenue to N1.2 trillion for the full year ended December 31.

This marks a sharp recovery from the N164.6 billion loss recorded in 2024, according to a corporate disclosure submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Limited on Wednesday.

The company’s total equity also returned to positive territory at N12.9 billion, reversing a negative N92.3 billion in the previous year.

Operating profit grew by 34.3 per cent to N225.4 billion, while profit before tax rose to N166.8 billion, rebounding from a loss of N221.5 billion in 2024.

Export sales surged by 56 per cent to N10.2 billion.

A quarterly breakdown showed strong performance in Q4, with revenue increasing to N323.2 billion from N293.5 billion in the same period of 2024.

Profit before tax for the quarter climbed 15.1 per cent to N38.9 billion, while profit after tax jumped to N32.5 billion from N19.7 billion.

Commenting on the results, Managing Director Wassim Elhusseini said, “Our 2025 results reflect the strong foundations of our return to profitability since the fourth quarter of 2024.

”This is due to the resilience of our people and renewed operational efficiency, supported by stability of the Naira against the Dollar.”

He highlighted that negative retained earnings fell by 53.6 per cent, from N243.2 billion in 2024 to N112.8 billion in 2025, and expressed optimism about eliminating these losses completely and resuming dividend payments.

Looking ahead, Nestlé Nigeria plans to focus on cost efficiencies, marketing investments, and sustainability initiatives to strengthen its market position while creating shared value for stakeholders.
