Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers, has sworn in Dagogo Wokoma as Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Sunny Ewule as Chief of Staff.

The governor charged both officials to treat their offices as service-driven roles rather than political appointments.

Speaking after the oath-taking, Fubara emphasised that their duties are administrative, calling on the Chief of Staff to avoid convening unauthorised meetings or engaging in political activities outside his mandate.

He advised the new SSG, who is a mathematics lecturer, to leverage his academic expertise to ensure diligence, objectivity, and proper representation of the state government in all matters.

Governo Fubara also reiterated the administration’s commitment to sustaining ongoing projects, advancing inherited programmes, and fostering peace, progress, and prosperity in Rivers State.

He further warned that any actions undermining the government’s reputation would not be tolerated and assured that their activities would be closely monitored.

He stressed the importance of cooperation across the civil service to ensure collective success during his tenure.
