NASME delegation visits Orodje of Okpe

The Delta State chapter of the Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME) has paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Orodje of Okpe, strengthening ties between the business community and the traditional institution.
The delegation, led by the State Chairman, Lady Judith Nwachukwu, was received at the historic palace of His Royal Majesty, the Orodje of Okpe, during a visit aimed at promoting collaboration for economic development within the kingdom and across Delta State.
The engagement provided an opportunity for both parties to discuss issues relating to entrepreneurship, the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and strategies to support local businesses.
Emphasis was placed on creating an enabling environment for entrepreneurs and empowering small business owners as a pathway to sustainable economic development.
During the meeting, NASME representatives highlighted the vital role MSMEs play in job creation, innovation, and economic stability.
The association also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting business owners through advocacy, capacity building, and partnerships with government institutions and community leaders.
Lady Nwachukwu described the visit as an important step toward building stronger cooperation between NASME and traditional leadership structures.
She noted that such partnerships are essential in driving grassroots economic growth and ensuring that entrepreneurs receive the support needed to thrive.
The NASME delegation expressed appreciation to the royal father for the warm reception and hospitality extended to the association.
Members also commended the traditional institution for its continued support of initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the people and encouraging economic progress within the kingdom.
NASME reiterated its readiness to work closely with traditional authorities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote innovation, strengthen local enterprises, and create opportunities that will benefit both entrepreneurs and the broader community in Delta State.
