Bayelsa APC chieftain calls for party unity shead of 2027

Chief Joshua MacIver, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa, has called for the sincere resolution of internal divisions within the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

MacIver, a former deputy governorship candidate of the party, made the appeal in a statement to newsmen in Yenagoa on Saturday.

The APC leader warned that unresolved internal disagreements could trigger a mass exit of members if urgent measures were not taken.

“Unresolved internal imbalances can threaten the party’s cohesion in Bayelsa ahead of the 2027 general elections.

”Leaders need to look inwards and address the concerns being raised by critical stakeholders,” he said.

He commended the party for holding a successful state congress and congratulated the newly elected state executive led by Mr. Warman Ogoriba.

MacIver reiterated the party’s commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, stressing the need for unity.

“We need unity within the party to effectively throw our weight behind the president. We cannot achieve this goal with a divided house.

”An inclusive approach in managing our internal affairs is essential,” he said.
