Peter Obi visits Aba, highlights Nigeria’s production potential

Senator Peter Obi visited Aba, Abia State on Saturday, to engage with stakeholders of the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) and honor the invitation of Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, his host for the visit.

Obi expressed gratitude to Senator Abaribe and his team for the warm reception and commended Governor Alex Otti for his work in Enyimba City, describing the state as a key driver of Nigeria’s industrial potential.

During his visit, Obi gave a one-hour interview with Magic FM, marking his first radio and TV appearance of the year. He praised ADC stakeholders for their hospitality and constructive interaction.

Highlighting Aba’s economic significance, Obi noted its role in garment and shoe production, industries capable of generating foreign exchange comparable to oil revenues, as seen in countries like Bangladesh and Vietnam.

“Aba remains one of the cities that will contribute immensely to moving Nigeria from consumption to production,” he said.

Obi stressed that Nigeria’s progress depends on competent leadership, leaders with capacity, compassion, and commitment to national development.

He expressed optimism about the nation’s potential, asserting, “A New Nigeria is possible.”

The visit reinforced Obi’s message of economic empowerment, industrial growth, and the importance of strong leadership in transforming Nigeria’s productivity landscape
