The carnival is scheduled to take place on Monday, April 6, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square, a major event location on Lagos Island.
According to the government, the measures are aimed at ensuring a smooth and hitch-free procession during the festivities. As part of the plan, vehicular movement will be restricted along key roads leading into the venue.
Affected routes include King George V Road near Mobil Filling Station, Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House.
In addition, authorities stated that all connecting roads to Moloney Road will be closed for the duration of the event.
