Trump issues threats of sweeping strikes on Iran over strait of Hormuz

President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, threatening large-scale attacks on its infrastructure if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump declared, “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!!”
He demanded that Iranian authorities restore access to the crucial oil shipping route, adding, “Open the Strait, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH!”
The statement is among his most aggressive public threats since the conflict between the U.S. and Iran intensified in late February.
Trump set Tuesday as a deadline, warning that failure to comply would trigger coordinated strikes targeting power plants and other critical national infrastructure.
The rhetoric has raised international concern over potential escalation, humanitarian risks, and legal ramifications of targeting civilian infrastructure.
The warning followed a recent U.S. military operation to rescue a downed American pilot inside Iranian territory, highlighting the heightened military engagement between the two countries.
Global attention is now focused on whether Iran will reopen the vital waterway or face the consequences outlined by Washington.
