ADC releases updated convention committee list
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has released an updated list of its National Convention Committee and several sub-committees ahead of its planned national convention scheduled for April 14, 2026.
A statement issued in Abuja on Sunday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the update was intended to strengthen coordination and ensure a smooth, credible, and well-organised convention.
The party had earlier unveiled its National Convention Central Coordination Committee, headed by former Cross River State Governor, Senator Liyel Imoke, with former Sokoto State Governor, Senator Aminu Tambuwal, serving as deputy chairman.
The party urged all appointed committee members to carry out their duties diligently and called on stakeholders to support the successful conduct of the exercise.
In the updated list signed by the National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo, the ADC confirmed the nomination of several individuals to serve on the convention planning committee for the national convention slated for Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
According to the statement, the planning structure includes 16 sub-committees covering key operational areas such as logistics, electoral processes, accommodation, venue arrangements, security, finance, media and publicity, as well as delegate accreditation and welfare.
The party said the expanded committee framework was designed to ensure efficiency and transparency in the conduct of the convention, which is expected to play a key role in shaping its leadership and future direction.
