NFF appoints Dorcas Koki as media officer for U17 Women’s national team

The Nigeria Football Federation has appointed Dorcas Koki, a seasoned journalist and football commentator with NigeriaInfo FM, as the new Media Officer for the U17 women’s national team Flamingos.
Koki takes over from Monsurah Olatunji, who served in the role during the 2024 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup finals in the Dominican Republic.
She brings years of experience in covering local and international sporting events to her new role.
She is also known for her bold storytelling, engaging analysis, and strong advocacy for women’s sports, particularly women’s football.
As a Port Harcourt-based journalist, Koki aims to increase the visibility of the Flamingos, bronze medalists at the 2022 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.
“I will work with the NFF Communication department to amplify the voices of the players and coaches, ensuring the team’s journey is shared with all stakeholders nationwide and beyond.
“My vision is to make the Flamingos a household name, not only during tournaments but throughout the year.
”We will tell their stories in ways that inspire pride, build fan connection, and position the team as the future of Nigerian football, through fresh digital content, stronger media engagement, and authentic storytelling,” she said.
The Flamingos will resume camping on Sunday as they begin preparations for the 2024 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup finals in Morocco, scheduled to take place from October 17 to November 8.
