Nigerian Air Force destroys terrorist stronghold in Sambisa

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully carried out a series of airstrikes on Arra, a known terrorist enclave in Sambisa, in a decisive move to degrade insurgent capabilities.
In a statement issued Wednesday, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, confirmed that the operation was conducted under the directive of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, as part of Operation Hadin Kai.
The airstrikes followed intelligence-driven surveillance and reconnaissance missions aimed at monitoring terrorist movements in the aftermath of the October 17 ambush at Kashomri.
Persistent observation of the region revealed heightened suspicious activity and operational terrorist structures at Arra.
“NAF aircraft engaged designated targets through coordinated, successive attack runs.
“All identified targets were destroyed, significantly weakening terrorist operational capabilities and disrupting their command and logistics networks, ” he said.
The operation underscored the Air Force’s continued commitment to safeguarding national security and supporting ground troops across all operational theaters.
Ejodame reaffirmed that the Nigerian Air Force remains resolute in neutralizing threats, defending the nation’s territorial integrity, and promoting lasting peace throughout Nigeria.
This action marked another significant effort in the ongoing fight against terrorism in the northeastern region of the country, highlighting the NAF’s strategic focus on precision strikes and intelligence-led operations.
