LASAA unveils 2026 mobile advert permit with QR code verification

The Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) has launched its Year 2026 Mobile Advert Permit, introducing a technology-driven system aimed at simplifying compliance for owners of branded vehicles across the state.

The new permit incorporates a unique QR code that allows instant verification and provides real-time access to key permit information.

Vehicle owners can authenticate their permits using the LASAA Mobile App, which is available for download on Google Play Store and iOS.

Speaking at the launch on Friday, LASAA Managing Director, Prince Fatiu Akiolu, emphasised the system’s convenience and the importance of regulatory compliance.

“This upgrade reflects our commitment to creating an efficient, transparent, and user-friendly regulatory environment.

We encourage all owners of branded vehicles to take advantage of the streamlined process and obtain their Mobile Advert Permit promptly.

It is easier, faster, and helps us maintain orderliness on Lagos roads,” he said.

Olubukonla Ayodele, Head of the Mobile Advert Department, urged business owners and vehicle operators to prepare ahead of the January 2026 rollout.

“Permit issuance for 2026 begins in January, and we strongly advise vehicle owners to obtain their QR-coded permits early.

This will help them avoid enforcement actions, sanctions, and ensure smooth operations throughout the year,” she said.

Ayodele explained that registration can be completed electronically through LASAA’s official website (www.lasaa.lg.gov.ng).

Applicants are required to register with a username and password, provide relevant personal and vehicle information, follow on-screen prompts, make payment online, and instantly receive their QR-coded permit.

LASAA reiterated that the Mobile Advert Permit is mandatory for all branded vehicles operating within Lagos State.

Early compliance will help prevent disruptions, penalties, and the seizure of non-compliant vehicle signage, in accordance with existing regulations.

The agency said the initiative is part of its ongoing efforts to promote a safe, orderly, and well-regulated advertising landscape in Lagos while leveraging technology to support businesses.
