PDP will rise again in Delta State, sways Party Chieftain Emma Ogidi

Veteran politician and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Emmanuel Ogidi, has declared that the development strides witnessed in Delta State today are the direct result of successive PDP-led administrations.
Chief Ogidi made the statement to reassure Deltans, especially those that are still loyal to the party that the wholesale defection by Governor Sheriff Oborevwore, all; elected and appointed members of the PDP to the All P{rogressive Congress, APC, is not the end of the road for the party.
According Ogidi, “The infrastructural and human developments in Delta State today was done by successive PDP governments. We have done very well,” Ogidi affirmed during an interview with a national television on Tuesday.
“But my worry is, this thing that is going on in the air. When defections are brought, I am worried. But we will continue to do what we are supposed to do”, he said
Amid the ongoing wave of reported defections from the PDP to the APC, report has it that the defectors have not been officially recognised by the APC due to the absence of valid resignation letters from the PDP—a procedural gap that may render their defection invalid in the eyes of the law.
When asked if the PDP has received formal resignations, he stated, “We have not received any yet, s we speak.”
While the political terrain may be shifting, Ogidi remains optimistic about the PDP’s future in Delta State, insisting, “PDP will rise again in Delta,” he said confidently. “We have people who are committed to the PDP cause. And by the time we succeed in Delta State, it will become a model.”
