Dangote, NNPCL leaders pledge cooperation in energy sector

Aliko Dangote, President and CEO of Dangote Group, has reaffirmed his organization’s commitment to collaboration with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) in Nigeria’s energy sector.
Dangote made the remarks during a courtesy visit to NNPCL’s Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Bashir Ojulari, at the NNPC Towers in Abuja.
“There is no competition between us. We are not here to compete with the NNPC Ltd. The NNPC is part and parcel of our business, and we are also part of the NNPC.
This is an era of co-operation between the two organisations,” Dangote stated.
He congratulated Ojulari and his newly appointed senior management team, describing their roles as pivotal in navigating the energy sector’s future.
Ojulari assured the Dangote delegation of NNPCL’s readiness to maintain a mutually beneficial relationship, underscored by transparency, innovation, and healthy competition.
“We are committed to a partnership that prioritises Nigeria’s economic interests,” Ojulari said.
He added that the collaboration with the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals would be pursued, particularly where it offers a clear commercial advantage for the country.
