Osimhen’s goal helps Galatasaray secure league title

Nigerian striker,  Victor Osimhen, scored a crucial goal as Galatasaray defeated Kayserispor 3-0 on Sunday, winning the Turkish Super Lig title.
This victory comes just five days after the Lions won the Turkish Cup.
Osimhen’s goal in the 26th minute was a header from Gabriel Sara’s cross, and his daughter Hailey proudly announced him as the scorer.
The win was Galatasaray’s 25th Super Lig title, and they finished with 89 points, eight ahead of second-place Fenerbahce.
Osimhen’s league tally this season stands at 25 goals, and he has been instrumental in Galatasaray’s success.
He had previously broken a record for the most prolific foreign player in Turkish football with a brace in the Turkish Cup final.
Fenerbahce, managed by Jose Mourinho, finished second and may face changes due to their failure to win the title.
Mourinho’s team last won the championship 11 years ago, and their loss might trigger his departure from the club one year before his contract ends.
