Stable business environment key to attracting investments, economic growth – Atiku

Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and former Vice President, emphasised the importance of a stable and secure business environment in attracting investments and driving economic growth.
Speaking at the Taraba International Investment Summit in Jalingo, he highlighted Taraba’s significant investment potential in agriculture, solid minerals, and tourism.
“The government is urged to implement measures that will address investment risks and eliminate bottlenecks.
”Peace, security, and stability in host communities are critical determinants of investment flows,” Atiku stated.
He advocated for well-designed investment generation strategies, clear policies, and efficient institutions to improve infrastructure and support sustainable development.
Atiku stressed the need for public-private partnerships, saying, “No Nigerian state has the necessary physical and financial space to independently drive growth and achieve sustainable development.”
He also emphasised that private investments would help bridge resource gaps, increase revenue, and unlock the state’s potential.
Atiku commended the governor’s efforts in promoting economic growth and prosperity, noting that the initiative to gather investors aligned with the vision of building a prosperous and secure Taraba State.
