APC Ughelli passes vote of confidence in Tinubu, Oborevwori

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State in a powerful display of solidarity and renewed commitment to party ideals, have resolved to work in unity under the leadership of key state and national figures.
This was the outcome of a high-level APC unity meeting held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Evwreni residence of the party’s founding leader in Delta State, Chief O’tega Emerhor.
The communique released after the meeting, detailed a unanimous decision by party stakeholders and leaders to align fully with the administration of President Bola Tinubu, and the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
A vote of confidence was passed on President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori for their impactful leadership and developmental strides at the national and state levels respectively.
Highlighting the resolutions, the Ughelli North APC leaders declared their unwavering support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and pledged total commitment to the MO.RE agenda of Governor Oborevwori, affirming their readiness to promote both agendas across the State.
The communique emphasised that there would no longer be any division between so-called “old” and “new” APC members within Ughelli North.
All members are now considered equal stakeholders with full access to privileges and opportunities in the party and resolved to work under the State leadership of Governor Oborevwori.
The meeting also established a united leadership front, reaffirming loyalty to the joint leadership of the State APC Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie; the founding leader, Chief O’tega Emerhor; Mr Festus Agas; and Chief Terry Noah.
The meeting also resolved that Ughelli North world speak with one voice under the APC and hold regular leadership meetings to strengthen unity and party strategy.
The stakeholders declared their full support for the Ughelli North Local Government Council Chairman, Chief Jaro Egbo, pledging to work closely with him to fast-track development in the local government area.
The vote of confidence on President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori was formally moved through a motion by Professor Sam Ibodje and seconded by Mr Samuel Mariere.
The communique was signed by the State Chairman of the party, Elder Omeni Sobotie, Chief O’tega Emerhor, Mr Festus Agas, Chief Terry Noah, Stella Okotete, and Jaro Egbo.
