PSG thrash Inter Miami 4-0 in FIFA club world cup

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) thrashed Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami 4-0 in the FIFA Club World Cup round of 16, securing their spot into the quarterfinals.
The match, played at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, showcased PSG’s dominance, with Joao Neves scoring twice and Achraf Hakimi adding a fourth goal.
PSG controlled the game from the start, with Neves opening the scoring in the 6th minute, heading in a free-kick from Vitinha.
The gulf in quality between the teams was evident as PSG outshot Inter Miami 19-8 and maintained 67 per cent ,ball possession.
Despite his brilliance, Messi struggled to influence the game, with Inter Miami’s midfield failing to support him adequately.
Although Inter Miami showed more resilience in the second half, they couldn’t capitalize on their chances, with Messi’s free-kick hitting the wall and Luis Suarez missing a tap-in.
PSG will face either Bayern Munich or Flamengo in the quarterfinals, scheduled to take place in Atlanta on Saturday. With their convincing win, PSG looks poised to make a deep run in the tournament.
