President Bola Tinubu on Friday visited the family of late former President Muhammadu Buhari in Kaduna State, September 19, 2025.
The visit was part of his one-day trip to the state, where he also attended the wedding ceremony of Nasirudeen Yari, son of former Zamfara State Governor and Senator Abdul’aziz Yari.
President Tinubu was accompanied by Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna, other state governors, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, ministers, senators, and other top government officials.
The President was received by the widow of former President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha Buhari, on behalf of her children.
Tinubu also expressed condolences and solidarity with the Buhari family, assuring them that he would uphold the late leader’s legacies.
Before visiting the Buhari family, Tinubu attended the wedding ceremony of Nasirudeen Yari and Safiyya Idris at the Sultan Bello Mosque in Kaduna.
The ceremony drew dignitaries from across the country, including traditional rulers, business leaders, and politicians, and was marked by prayers for the President and the nation.
Former President Muhammadu Buhari passed away on July 13, 2025, at The London Clinic after a prolonged illness.
His remains were received by Tinubu at the Katsina Airport, and full military honors were accorded to him during his interment in Daura.
