President Tinubu assures Nigerians of economic recovery

President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the current economic hardship will soon give way to prosperity and growth.
President Tinubu made the assurance during the coronation of Rashidi Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Tinubu said, “Today I am honoured and very proud to give you cheering news that the economy has turned the corner.
“There is a bright light at the end of the tunnel. Your suffering is a pain, a pain of a painful surgery, but it has now returned to the moment of growth, and prosperity is awaiting us ahead,” he added.
He likened the economic difficulties to the pain of a “painful surgery” that will ultimately lead to healing and growth.
The President described Ladoja as “a rare gem of history” and prayed for his long life and reign.
Tinubu expressed optimism about Nigeria’s economic future, stating that the economy has “turned the corner” and that there is “a bright light at the end of the tunnel.”
He thanked the people of Ibadan for their support during the 2023 presidential election and praised their resilience during the ongoing reforms.
Since assuming office in May 2023, Tinubu’s administration has introduced sweeping economic reforms, including the removal of the fuel subsidy.
While these measures have triggered a hike in the cost of living, with fuel prices soaring, transportation costs increasing, and food prices escalating, the President insisted they were necessary for long-term economic recovery.
Some critics argue that the reforms have worsened hardship for many households, supporters of the President’s actions insist that they are necessary for long-term economic recovery.
The coronation ceremony was marked by a heavy presence of security operatives, ensuring a peaceful event.
