PDP national convention set to hold this Saturday, organising committee confirms

The National Working Committee (NWC) and the 2025 National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have reaffirmed that the party’s national convention will take place on Saturday, November 15, in Ibadan.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, PDP National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba, who also serves as Secretary of the NCOC’s Publicity and Communication Sub-Committee, dismissed claims suggesting that the convention had been postponed.

“The national convention has not been delayed.

”We urge members of the party and Nigerians at large to disregard misleading reports circulated by some individuals, who we believe are attempting to disrupt the convention,” Ologunagba said.

He added that the NCOC and the PDP leadership are working tirelessly to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the convention.

Ologunagba also welcomed all delegates, party officials, leaders, and supporters who have begun arriving in Ibadan for the event.

“We appreciate Nigerians for their continued support and look forward to a productive and unifying convention that will strengthen our party,” he noted.

The PDP convention is expected to bring together leaders and delegates from across the country to deliberate on key issues, elect party officials, and chart the course for the party’s future engagements.
