President Bola Tinubu has submitted a list of three non-career ambassadorial nominees to the Senate, seeking their confirmation for diplomatic postings.
The nominees, all former security operatives drawn from Osun, Jigawa and Oyo States, are Kayode Aare, Aminu Dalhatu and Ayodele Oke, respectively.
Their names were contained in a presidential communication read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during Wednesday’s plenary.
After announcing the request, Akpabio referred the list to the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, mandating it to screen the nominees and return with its report within one week.
