Peter Obi donates N15m to support education, health in Anambra

The 2027 presidential aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mr. Peter Obi, has donated a total of N15 million to two institutions under the Anglican Diocese of Nnewi (ADON) to boost health and vocational education.

Obi gave N10 million to the ADON College of Health Technology, Nnewi, and N5 million to the ADON Vocational and Technical Academy, Ozubulu, located in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.

During the visit, Obi emphasised that faith-based institutions were stepping in to provide essential services due to government inadequacies in education, healthcare, and social welfare.

He said his support reflects the need to strengthen organizations filling gaps left by the state.

“I was here last year, and the cheque you received then was for a previous pledge.

”I am here now to present N10 million for this year,” Obi stated at the College of Health Technology.

He described students as the foundation of Nigeria’s future, stressing the importance of supporting institutions shaping young people.

At the ADON Vocational and Technical Academy, Obi inspected facilities and presented the N5 million cheque to Rector Rev. Engr. Prince Igwe, reaffirming his commitment to vocational training and skills development.

Obi urged continued prayers for the church’s leadership and educational mission, noting the Anglican Diocese was fulfilling roles that government and politicians ought to provide.
