ADC constitutes policy, manifesto committee

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the formation of a 50-member Wise Men, Women Policy and Manifesto Committee, a move aimed at strengthening the party’s policy framework ahead of future elections.
The committee was approved by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party and formally sanctioned by the National Chairman, Senator David Mark, reflecting the ADC’s commitment to a people-centred and forward-looking governance agenda.
According to a statement by the National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the committee comprises a distinguished group of Nigerians drawn from diverse backgrounds, including former public office holders, academics, technocrats, civil society leaders, policy experts, and other professionals.
“The members collectively bring a wealth of experience in governance, economic management, social development, security, and democratic reform,” Abdullahi said.
The committee is chaired by Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, former Governor of Edo State, with Professor Pat Utomi as Deputy Chairman, while Salihu Lukman will serve as Secretary.
The ADC stated that the committee’s primary mandate is to articulate a coherent and credible policy direction that reflects the aspirations of Nigerians and positions the party as a viable alternative for responsible leadership and national renewal.
The formal inauguration of the committee is scheduled for Monday, February 2, 2026, at 12 noon, at the Conference Hall of the ADC National Secretariat, Abuja.
