Man City crush Fulham, narrow gap on Arsenal

Manchester City delivered a commanding 3-0 victory over Fulham on Wednesday, reducing the Premier League leaders Arsenal’s advantage at the top to just three points.

Pep Guardiola’s side started strong, scoring three times in just 15 first-half minutes. Goals came from Antoine Semenyo, Nico O’Reilly, and Erling Haaland, marking City’s 20th consecutive win over Fulham in all competitions.

Arsenal, who can regain a six-point lead, will face in-form Brentford on Thursday. City, meanwhile, are building momentum after a dramatic 2-1 win at Liverpool on Sunday.

January signings Semenyo and Marc Guehi have strengthened City’s attack and defense, reigniting their title push.

Semenyo opened the scoring after a deflected cross from Sander Berge, then assisted O’Reilly for the second goal.

Haaland scored his first non-penalty Premier League goal since December, finishing a strike from outside the box in the 39th minute, and later converted a penalty in stoppage time.

Guardiola gave Haaland a rare rest in the second half, replacing him with Omar Marmoush.

Although City’s second-half intensity dropped, Fulham could not capitalise, leaving City firmly in contention to challenge Arsenal for the league crown.

This win keeps the title race intense, with City closing in on Arsenal for a first league title in 22 years.
