Dubai airport gradually resumes flights after drone incident

The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) has announced the phased resumption of flights to and from Dubai International Airport, following a temporary suspension caused by a drone-related incident.
Flight operations were earlier halted after a drone damaged a fuel tank and sparked a fire near the airport, prompting safety concerns and disruptions.
In a statement, the DCAA advised passengers to confirm flight status with their airlines before travelling.
“Passengers are advised to check with their airlines for the latest updates regarding their flights,” the authority said.
The gradual restoration will initially cover selected destinations, with authorities monitoring operations closely to ensure safety and smooth resumption of services.
