Brighton cruise past Chelsea in 3-0 victory

Brighton & Hove Albion climbed into sixth place in the Premier League table after a convincing 3–0 win over Chelsea, further deepening the visitors’ ongoing struggles.
The home side made a flying start at the Amex Stadium, with Ferdi Kadioglu striking inside the opening three minutes to give Brighton an early lead and immediately put Chelsea on the back foot.
Brighton maintained control for much of the contest and eventually doubled their advantage in the second half through Jack Hinshelwood, before experienced forward Danny Welbeck added a third goal to complete a dominant performance.
The result strengthens Brighton’s push for European qualification next season, while Chelsea’s hopes suffered another setback as they fell seven points behind fifth-placed Liverpool in the race for continental football.
Chelsea’s attacking woes continued to worsen, with the club now enduring five straight league defeats without scoring.
It marks their worst such run since 1912, adding further pressure on the team as the season approaches its final stretch.
The defeat is expected to intensify scrutiny on Chelsea’s form, with questions mounting over their inability to convert chances and steady their campaign.
