Senator Dickson, family, friends felicitates wife, Grace at 50

The city of Abuja witnessed a special kind of celebration as Senator Seriake Dickson joined his family, friends and cream of the society to converge in honour of his wife, Mrs Grace Dickson who clocked 50 on Saturday.
The golden age shindig had all the trapping of a celebrity expected of a lady who many described as humane, with a full compliment of what entertainment should be.
Senator Dickson did not disappoint, as he poured encomium on his darling wife, and on her behalf and his entire family expressed deep appreciation to all guests present in honour of his wife with their esteemed presence.
“My dear wife, the celebrant let me on behalf of our family, not only congratulate the beautiful radiant lady seated here.
” I want to, on her behalf thank and appreciate each and every one of you. I am aware even when i know it’s a ladies event, driven by these wonderful ladies, because I am sufficiently close and sufficiently involved to know.

























“Among the books written by Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu of blessed memory, was ‘Because I am Involved’. I am involved here as a co-celebrant.
”So I’m privy to know that most of you flew in from far and near. Some from far away outside the shores of this country, ” he said.
Dickson also said, “for my dear colleagues i say thank you for finding time to be hear.
”Saturdays are very tight for political leaders. But you are here to honour us with your presence. So also are our mothers, friends and well-wishers who have put aside all they were supposed to be doing; including profitable ventures, to be here to celebrate my darling wife. And by extension actually celebrate me and my family. I say thank you.
“Seeing the degree of solidarity from the wonderful Holy Rosary girls, so wonderfully raised. Mummy (83 years old Mrs. Tobi, former principal of the college) we appreciate you. Particularly those of us who are fortunate to have married one of them.
“My dear wife, the celebrant. You have heard from our children, you have heard from our family members and your friends, how wonderful you are.
” And for me; the good thing about lawyers and judges, particularly appalete justices,; when one has written a comprehensive judgement that other colleagues agree with; they don’t bother to repeat it. They only say, ‘I concur’,
“I want to at this point concur with all the tributes, and all the encomium, because i am in a position to know.
” I urge you to continue doing those things that has made everyone to think so positive about you. Do not look to the left or to the right but continue looking forward.
“Thank you for being the person that you are. Our family is one that shows solidarity and supports at all times.
” You are one of the pillars of the family and we wish you all the best. As you celebrate 50, God will take you to 100 and beyond.
”That is also my wish to all of you who are here to celebrate with us, in Jesus name”, said the Senator representing Bayelsa West senatorial district.
Earlier, the former forner Bayelsa State first lady, Prof. Rachael Dickson, who had led family members in a special gospel tune said, “As a family tradition we want to sing a song for you.
” To God be the glory for the good things He has done. Praise the lord, let the Angels rejoice.
“Congratulations to our sister. as you attain the fifth floor, we pray that God will take you higher. We are here to celebrate with you. And for everybody who have come here to celebrate our sister we say thank you. As a family we cherish you and once more we say congratulations.”
The event, which had two serving senators, wife of former Deputy Governor of Rivers Staate, Dame Christy Toby, Member Representing Sagbama LGA in Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Mrs. Ebizi Ndiomu -Brown and numerous celebrities sincerely lived up to its billing.
The day had set out when the celebrants in her elegance made an electrifying entrant at exactly 18.15, as the charged atmosphere caught on with all dancing to different gospel tunes provided by the musicians present.
Expectedly, Mrs Dickson, refered to as Big Mummy G by her students, stepped in with some admirable dance waves, typical of those that has gallantly stepped into the fifth floor.
Then it was the turn of Benue State born awards winning artiste, Chris Morgan, who took his turn on a praise worship that further made the celebration a beauty to behold.
At some point the celebrant was surrounded by family and well wishers as the artiste encouraged all present in an emotionally laden prayer for her. Then more songs and dancing followed to what was indeed a moment of worship.
Her alma matter, Holy Rosary Girls Secondary School, Port Harcourt, Rivers State rose to the occasion, with their former principal, Mrs Tobiy, who was present to celebrate their own, as they danced on.
The very lovely cake by Rainbow Touch was the icing of the event, as Pastor Patricia Touweri who described the celebrant good heart and glorious moments in her prayers.
She proposed her toast, saying, “”More of life of simplicity, yet so deep, longevity, healthy and to motherhood”, adding that Mrs. Dickson’s will continue to enjoy her place in the life of her children and husband.
Celebrant’s children, relatives and friends in the diaspora were not left of the celebration, as their emotionally charged goodwill messages came virtually to spice up the day.
Her neighbour, Mrs. Grace Ozonweke and a well wisher, Grace Bertha, described Mrs. Dickson as humility personified, just as her brothers in-laws weren’t left out of the good will messages, with a graphic details of how she has continued to remain one of the solid rocks behind her husband.
Students of her Boutua International School also added their voice to the celebrant they describe as Big Mummy G to mark the day.
Other goodwill messages came from Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi, Imo East Senatorial district and Mrs. Toby who presented a gift to Mrs. Dickson thanked Senator Dickson for making it possible for her to see her old students after 30 years.
Her words: “Thank God for the well-raised lady that Dickson married. We are proud of you. Remain a good wife, a caring mother and our Ambassador. My husband sends his love. I have a token. I’m truly encouraged.”
Celebrants third entrance was as entertaining as she danced gracefully to the beats, accompanied by friend’s and well wishers.
Thereafter, it was the turn of her children, led by Barr. Po Dickson and her siblings who took their turn to respectfully eulogise the celebrant; and presented her with a gift thereafter.
