Police nab suspect over murder of ABSU student

The Police command has also confirmed the missing of two persons in the state.
According to a statement, the suspect whose name was given as Emmanuel Victor, reportedly shot Uche, a 500-level on March 11, in front of Miracle Lodge, Uturu.
“On 11/3/2024, a viral video surfaced depicting the murder of Emmanuel Uche, a 500-level student of Abia State University, in front of Miracle Lodge, Uturu.
“Acting on credible intelligence, today 18/4/2024, at about 1100hrs, a team of police detectives from Abia State Police Command, apprehended the principal suspect at Isiukwuato who was captured in the viral video committing the murder of Emmanuel Uche at Miracle Lodge, Abia State University, Uturu”.
The statement stated that the suspect has confessed to the crime and he is currently in custody and will be charged to court soon.
In another development, Abia police as confirmed the missing of two persons which include Blessing Chisom 16, (Female) and Nwabueze Ezeocha, 39, (Male).
The command said Chisom’s employer, Rev Kelechi Ogbonna of No 72/76 St Michael’s Road, Aba stated that she left the house on March 31, an unknown destination and has not returned home.
The statement added that the brother of Nwabueze Ezeocha, Prince Ifeanyi Ezeocha of Umuhuta Ndume Ibeke Umuahia also said his brother left the house on April 4, with their company Hummer bus to Aba with some passengers and has not returned home.
The command urges the public to be at alert, urging that anyone with useful information about the whereabouts of the said persons should contact their guardians or the police.
