Hon. Ehriatake Ibori-Suenu, member representing Ethiope East/West Federal Constituency in House of Representatives has congratulated Mr Itiako Ikpokpo on his appointment as the Director General, Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON).
Ibori-Suenu, who is also , Chairman House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) said this in a statement on Sunday in Asaba.
She said that the appointment was well deserved.
“The appointment is a affirmation of the confidence reposed on you and your capacity to reposition this great institution to render service for the betterment of local government administration in Nigeria.
”The new DG’s appointment will provide a veritable platform for you to show case the talent and capacity, for which Delta State is renowned,” she said.
Ibori-Suenu expressed the hope that the new role would provide platform for Ikpokpo to put to good use the knowledge and experience he acquired as a former Council Chairman and grassroots mobiliser.
The new ALGON DG, who had since resumed at the headquarters of the organisation,was a former Chairman of Isoko South local government council.
