Dickson rallies support for NDC nationwide

Former Bayelsa State governor and founder of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC), Seriake Dickson, has intensified efforts to expand the party’s national reach, receiving delegations from different parts of the country in what he described as a growing wave of support for the movement.

Dickson disclosed that delegations from Enugu State and Sokoto State paid courtesy visits as part of ongoing engagements with political leaders and stakeholders of the NDC.

According to him, the visits were aimed at expressing solidarity with the party and aligning with its vision for a new Nigeria.

He described the interactions as “warm, constructive, and encouraging,” noting that they reflect increasing acceptance of the NDC across diverse regions of the country.

The former governor commended the visiting stakeholders for their willingness to associate with what he called a people-driven political movement.

“We commend these stakeholders for their commitment and willingness to be part of a people-driven political movement founded on ideas, inclusiveness, and national unity,” he said.

In a related development, Dickson also received members of the Henry Seriake Dickson National Movement, a support group within the party, who visited to reaffirm their loyalty to both his leadership and the broader objectives of the NDC.

He expressed appreciation for their “loyalty, dedication, and consistent commitment to the ideals of the party,” while also praising their organisational strength and mobilisation efforts.

He urged the group to sustain its activities in strengthening the party’s grassroots structures and expanding its national footprint.

“I commend their organisation and mobilisation efforts and encourage them to continue to play an active role in strengthening the party’s structures and expanding our reach across the country,” he stated.

Dickson also called on stakeholders and supporters nationwide to return to their respective states and intensify grassroots mobilisation.

He emphasised the need to build strong party structures at all levels and maintain direct engagement with citizens as part of efforts to position the NDC as a credible political alternative.

“We urge all stakeholders to return to their respective states and intensify mobilisation efforts, strengthen our structures at all levels, and continue to engage with the people as we build a credible alternative for our country,” he said.

Reaffirming the party’s openness, Dickson noted that the NDC remained accessible to Nigerians seeking change and committed to the principles of integrity, service, and national progress.

“The NDC remains open to all Nigerians who desire change and are committed to the values of integrity, service, and progress.

”Together, we will continue to grow this movement and work towards building a nation that works for all Nigerians,” he added.
