Ex-Eagles striker Eneramo dies in Kaduna

Former Super Eagles striker Mike Eneramo has died after collapsing during a training session in Kaduna.
The incident occurred early Friday at a primary school in the Ungwan Yelwa area, where the ex-international was reportedly engaged in routine fitness training.
According to available reports, Eneramo suffered a suspected heart attack and passed away before he could receive medical attention.
The 40-year-old enjoyed a distinguished football career, rising to prominence during his time with Tunisian giants Espérance Sportive de Tunis, where he established himself as a prolific goal scorer.
While in Tunisia, he clinched the Tunisian Ligue 1 title five times, won the Tunisian Cup on three occasions, and finished as the league’s top scorer twice.
Eneramo also made his mark on the continental stage, emerging as the highest goal scorer in the CAF Champions League during the 2009/2010 season.
Following his successful stint in Tunisia, he moved to Turkey, featuring for several clubs including Sivasspor, Beşiktaş, İstanbul Başakşehir, Karabükspor, and Manisaspor.
He later returned to Espérance before bringing his professional career to an end in 2018 with Cypriot side Türk Ocağı Limasol.
On the international scene, Eneramo represented Nigeria and made his debut in a friendly match against Jamaica in London in February 2009.
He scored his first goal for the national team in a 1–1 draw against the Republic of Ireland later that year.
One of his standout moments in national colours came during a World Cup qualifier against Tunisia in Abuja, where he scored in a dramatic 2–2 encounter.
Eneramo is remembered as a hardworking and energetic striker whose contributions at both club and international levels earned him admiration among fans and teammates.
His sudden death has sparked tributes from across the football community, with many mourning the loss of a player regarded for his commitment and passion for the game.
