West Ham to seek VAR audio over disallowed goal

West Ham United are preparing to formally approach the Professional Game Match Officials (PGMO) for clarification after a stoppage-time equaliser against Arsenal was ruled out in controversial circumstances.

Callum Wilson had appeared to rescue a late point for the Hammers, but the goal was disallowed following a VAR review.

Officials judged that Pablo committed a foul on Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya in the build-up phase.

According to BBC Sport, West Ham intend to request a detailed explanation of the decision from PGMO and will also seek access to the audio communication between referee Chris Kavanagh and VAR official Darren England.

The disallowed goal proved decisive, as Arsenal held on for a 1–0 win that strengthened their position at the top of the Premier League, extending their lead to five points over Manchester City.

The outcome leaves West Ham United in 18th place, increasing pressure on the club as they continue to battle relegation with the season nearing its conclusion.

For Arsenal, the victory further reinforces their title push, though the refereeing decision is expected to remain a talking point in the days ahead, especially with West Ham seeking greater transparency over the VAR process.
