Amaechi vows to rebuild Nigeria by 2031

Former Minister of Transportation and presidential hopeful of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rotimi Amaechi, has promised Nigerians a major turnaround in governance and national development if elected president in the 2027 general election.

Amaechi made the declaration on Thursday shortly after submitting his presidential nomination forms at the national headquarters of the ADC in Abuja.

Speaking after completing the nomination process, the former Rivers State governor expressed confidence that his administration would bring significant change to the country within a single term of office.

According to him, Nigeria can experience meaningful transformation within four years under purposeful leadership, assuring supporters that “things will change” if he emerges victorious in the next presidential election.

The submission of his nomination forms officially confirms Amaechi’s entry into the 2027 presidential race under the platform of the ADC, a contest that is already attracting notable political figures across the country.

Amaechi’s declaration comes amid growing political activities ahead of the 2027 elections, with several aspirants positioning themselves for key offices at both national and state levels.

The former minister has remained a prominent figure in Nigeria’s political landscape, having previously served as Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Governor of Rivers State, and later Minister of Transportation.

His latest move added to the increasing momentum within the ADC as the opposition party seeks to strengthen its presence ahead of the next general election.

Amaechi’s submission of nomination forms also coincided with heightened political developments within the party, following the participation of other high-profile politicians in the ADC’s presidential activities.
