ADC shifts screening exercise nationwide

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced a postponement of its presidential and governorship screening exercise earlier slated for the weekend, moving the activity to Monday.
The party’s decision was contained in a statement released on Saturday in Abuja by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi.
According to the statement, the adjustment became necessary due to emerging security concerns in parts of northern Nigeria, which also influenced changes to other aspects of the screening schedule.
The party further disclosed that screening for National Assembly aspirants from the northern region would no longer take place in their respective zones but would now be conducted in Abuja.
It explained that all affected aspirants would be formally contacted with updated information on the revised timetable and venue arrangements to ensure smooth participation.
The ADC expressed regret over any inconvenience the changes might cause, while appealing for understanding and cooperation from all aspirants and stakeholders involved in the process.
The party reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a transparent and orderly screening exercise despite the adjustments necessitated by security considerations
