President of NDYO-SUDEV urges youths to shelve planned protests

The National President of the Niger Delta Youth Organisation for Sustainable Development (NDYO-SUDEV), Mr Dogubo Mologe, has called on the persons planning the nationwide protests to reconsider their decision and shelve the protests.
Mologe said in a statement made available to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Asaba that the youths and the organisers of the protests should listen to President Bola Tinubu, who has promised to tackle the problems of the country.
According to Mologe, there is no doubt that the cost of living has gone up in the country, which the President has acknowledged and that the way out of the economic problem is not nationwide protests.
He urged the youths to proffer solutions on the way out of the problems.
Mologe cautioned against the planned protests since the hoodlums and miscreants could hijack the protests and destroy private and public properties as well as embark on looting.
According to him, the hijack of the #Endsars protest by hoodlums and the loss of innocent lives and wanton destruction of private and public properties was a case in point.
Mologe stated that the country is blessed with arable land and water across the length and breadth of the country.
He stressed the need for government to prioritize and encourage large-scale mechanised farming so that there will be enough food for Nigerians.
Mologe, however, congratulates Nigerian youths, who are excelling all over the world, adding that they are role models for the Nigerian youths.
He also commended the youths of Delta and Patani Local Government Area of the State for not supporting the planned protests.
