Deputy Governor of Bayelsa, Mr Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, has proceeded on his annual vacation, his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mr Doubara Atasi has said.
Atasi said on Tuesday in Yenagoa that the vacation was to enable the deputy governor to attend to urgent family matters as well as undergo his routine annual medical check-up.
Atasi quoted Ewhrudjakpo as expressing his gratitude to Gov. Douye Diri for his love and privilege to work with him.
He regretted any inconveniences the vacation would have caused Bayelsa and Nigerians in general.
The deputy governor will resume on Sept. 16.
