Delta govt committed to overall development – Aniagwu

Delta Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, has said that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is committed to the overall development of the state.
Aniagwu stated this this  at a press conference in Asaba, highlighting the achievements of the incumbent administration ahead of its second anniversary.
According to Aniagwu, the administration has left “bold and remarkable footprints” across the state, particularly in rural infrastructure and public service delivery.
 “In almost two years, we can see very bold and remarkable achievements by Governor Oborevwori and his team,” he said.
 The commissioner noted that development projects have reached many previously underserved coastal communities.
Some of the notable projects include: Road Construction*: Reducing travel time from Asaba to Ughelli to just one hour and forty-five minutes, Bridge Construction, Trans-Warri bridges and access roads to creek communities, Ayakoromo Bridge in Burutu Local Government Area, healthcare: installing medical equipment at Asaba Specialist Hospital, Warri Central Hospital, and Delta State University Teaching Hospital in Oghara
Aniagwu also announced that several projects have been lined up for inauguration to mark the anniversary, including: the Beneku Bridge, Ishiagu-Ewulu Road and Bridge, Upper and Lower Erejuwa Roads in Warri, Erosion Control in Okpanam, Olomoro-Igbide Road, Otolokpo to Boji-Boji Owa, Akumazi-Owere-Olubor Road, Obi-Ibabu Road.
The commissioner emphasised that the governor is a prudent manager of human and financial resources, committed to governance and overall development of the state.
“For every project executed, payment is made promptly after certification, showcasing our prudent approach to resource management,” he said.
Aniagwu also highlighted the administration’s efforts in Job Creation by empowering over 250,000 persons in the state through various programmes.
The commissioner assured that the Oborevwori-led administration would continue to operate with transparency, efficiency, and a people-centered focus, ensuring sustained progress across Delta State
