NGO donates N5m to Delta governor’s wife foundation

FOOSTODEY’s National President, Mr Elvis Ahior, presented the cheque to the governor’s wife in Asaba.
Ahior commended the ‘You Matter Charity Foundation’ for its dedication to uplifting the underprivileged.
He noted that the donation was aimed at supporting the foundation’s initiatives, including educational scholarships, healthcare outreach and empowerment programme in the state.
“Our decision to support the foundation is driven by a shared vision to create a better society.
“At FOOSTODEY, we believe in using our success to uplift others, and we are proud to partner with a foundation that delivers real impact,’’ he said.
Ahior highlighted the foundation’s significant impacts in promoting access to healthcare, advocating for children’s education, empowering women, and addressing gender-based violence and drug abuse in the state.
Responding, Mrs Oborevwori expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the donation, saying, “the foundation continues to thrive because God is with us, and we are making tremendous progress.”
She commended FOOSTODEY’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and their partnership in creating a more compassionate and inclusive Delta.
Also, Mr Reuben Izeze, the organisation’s International coordinator, reaffirmed the commitment to support widows through the foundation.
He revealed plans to build residential homes for selected widows in state, citing a previous example of building a house for the mother of the late National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) President, Moses Oisakede.
“We intend by God’s Grace to actualise a housing programme similar to what we did for the mother of the late NANS president,” Izeze said, highlighting the organisation’s mission rooted in unity and empathy.
The partnership between FOOSTODEY and the You Matter Charity Foundation aimed at providing safe, comfortable and dignified housing for widows in selected communities.
