Hensard University partners with CSDevNet/PACJA to advance climate justice

Hensard University has formalised a strategic partnership with CSDevNet/PACJA through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The MOU was signed on Thursday May 15,l, by Professor Dileep Kumar, the Vice Chancellor of Hensard University, and Mr Abu Stephen, the National Network Coordinator of CSDevNet.
The ten-year partnership is aimed at advancing climate justice and fostering mutual growth, innovation, and excellence in areas of shared interest.
The collaboration would create opportunities for knowledge sharing, capacity building, and joint initiatives that would positively impact students’ lives.
Through this partnership, Hensard University and CSDevNet/PACJA would leverage each other’s strengths and expertise to achieve their respective goals.
The partnership would also facilitate collaborative research, training, and projects among students, faculty, and staff.
Professor Dileep Kumar described the partnership as a “momentous step” towards achieving their shared goals of a more sustainable and climate-resilient Nigeria.
He emphasised that combining their expertise and resources would enable them to make a meaningful impact on the planet.
“Both parties are optimistic that this partnership will yield tangible benefits, including the restoration of mangroves in the Toro Orua community, in Bayelsa State,” the university stated.
”This partnership marks a significant milestone in Hensard University’s history, solidifying its commitment to sustainability and climate action, ” the VC stated.
Professor Kumar and Mr Stephen’s signatures on the MOU signify a shared commitment to driving positive change and promoting sustainability.
The partnership is expected to have a lasting impact on the university and the community, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
