North Central Women urge Tinubu to protect Sen. Akpoti-Uduaghan’s rights

The North Central Women Front (NCWF) has urged President Bola Tinubu to advise the Federal Government not to trample on the rights of citizens, particularly Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
According to the group, Akpoti-Uduaghan’s rights awere being slowly extinguished, with her complaints and protests treated as seditious murmurings.
In a statement issued in Lafia, the NCWF Chairperson, Mrs Mary Adamu, described the lawsuit against Akpoti-Uduaghan as a desire for conquest and a bad way of maintaining stability, patriotism, and morality.
“The problem in the Senate cannot be resolved in this manner. It is in going to the root that you will find the solution of a number of problems of the 10th Senate which the leadership cannot settle,” Adamu stated.
The group advised Tinubu to prevent the 10th Senate from being ill-governed and to address the root cause of the issue between Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan.
They also urged Tinubu not to yield to the temptation of oppressing women in the country.
The NCWF urged Tinubu to ask the Attorney General and Minister of Justice to withdraw the lawsuit against Akpoti-Uduaghan.
The group emphasised the need for sincere reconciliation and morality in resolving the issue.
The women praised Akpoti-Uduaghan for her honest heart and condemned the shameful methods being used in conflict resolution, particularly by fierce and brutal men in the country.
