Eno marks 2 years in office, calls for continued peace, unity

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom, has called on residents to support his administration’s efforts to promote sustainable peace and development in the state.
Eno made the call during a thanksgiving service marking his administration’s second anniversary in Uyo.
He emphasised that peace was critical to development, citing the peace, unity, security, and stability enjoyed in the state as top achievements of his administration.
“Peace has been the foundation of our government’s success. I urge everyone to join us to promote peace, it is critical to sustainable development,.
“No society can develop without sustainable peace, security, and unity among its people, ” he said
The governor commended previous administrations in the state for their contributions to its growth and development.
He also thanked the people of Akwa Ibom for their understanding, support, and love for his administration.
Eno urged residents to forgive one another and let peace continue to reign in the state.
“In the spirit of the anniversary, I urge us to forgive one another, and let peace continue to reign in our state,” he said.
The governor commended President Bola Tinubu for his boldness in policy implementation, saying it has enabled the state to have more funds for projects.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, represented by Senator Ekong Sampson, congratulated the governor on his successful two-year tenure and pledged the National Assembly’s continued support and collaboration with the governor.
