Okpebholo commissions 2.5MVA injection sub-station in Edo community

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has commissioned a 2.5MVA injection sub-station in Udomi community, Esan Central, fulfilling his promise to improve electricity supply in the area.
The governor expressed satisfaction with the project’s completion, noting that it would stimulate economic growth and connect nearby communities to steady electricity.
The governor said the people had never witnessed such infrastructure, adding that the project would improve development and connect nearby communities to steady electricity.
Okpebholo emphasised his joy in bringing real change, noting that the people were finally feeling the impact of governance close to their homes.
The sub-station will step down a 33KVA line to 11KVA, energizing over nine transformers to supply power across Udomi and neighboring areas.
Okpebholo highlighted that the new sub-station would power businesses through reliable electricity, driving economic growth and development.
The governor inspected the construction of the new Edo State College of Nursing, Health Sciences, and Technology located in Udomi, thanking the Edo State House of Assembly for supporting the project.
Okpebholo reiterated his administration’s commitment to delivering meaningful projects across the state, emphasizing his joy in bringing real change to the people.
The governor pledged to continue delivering infrastructure projects, aligning with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, and uplifting lives through inclusive development.
The Business Head of Benin City Distribution Company, Mr Mokwenye Jidenmah, revealed that the second phase of the electricity project would link six communities, including Udomi 1, Ujabhole 1, Unogbo, Idimoghodor, Ibhioloulu, and Afuda.
