The lawmaker representing Oshimili South Constituency in the Delta House of Assembly, Hon. Bridget Anyafulu, has congratulated Senator Ifeanyi Okowa on his 66th birthday.
Hon. Anyafulu, also, Chairman, House Committee on Housing, Women’s Affairs, Humanitarian Support Services, and Girl Child Development, disclosed this in a statement made available to HensardTimes on Tuesday.
It reads in part, “On behalf of the good people of Oshimili South, I extend my warmest felicitations to our esteemed leader, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, as he celebrates this milestone birthday.
”As we mark this special day, we honour not only his life but also his remarkable contributions to our nation, state, and the Anioma people”, she added.
She highlighted the former governor’s exemplary service, saying, “Senator Okowa’s exemplary service has been a beacon of inspiration to many, and his leadership has been defined by uncommon integrity, diligence, dedication, discipline, and a passion for public service.
”His commitment to the development of women and girls is particularly noteworthy, and his faith in the rule of law and equity is a hallmark of his distinguished career.”
Anyafulu expressed her personal gratitude to the former governor, saying, “As someone who has had the privilege of being mentored and nurtured by Senator Okowa, I am forever grateful for the opportunities he has provided me.
She further said, ”He gave me my first shot at holding a political office and has been a constant source of guidance and support throughout my journey.
”His leadership has not only shaped my own career but has also inspired countless others who have had the privilege of learning from him.”
She prayed for the former governor’s senator continued success, saying, “As Senator Okowa celebrates his 66th birthday, I pray that God Almighty will bless him with sound health, wisdom, and many more years of impactful service to our state and fatherland.
